CHILDREN'S MINISTRY: EARLY CHILDHOOD SATURDAY NIGHT MINISTRY LEADER - LOFT
The Early Childhood Saturday Night Ministry Lead role has been designed to give children a consistent adult staff presence in the Loft Children’s Ministry on Saturday nights, while providing the right tone and environment for learning. The Saturday Night Ministry Lead is responsible for having a dedicated weekly focus on sharing biblical truths about Jesus Christ in a fun and exciting way. This position works with ages 3 years old through Kindergarten.
JOB DUTIES
- Preparing the classroom/learning area on Saturday nights
- Providing direction to volunteer and intern team
- Welcoming children and families as they arrive
- Take attendance and offering
- Lead large group learning
- Reinforcing and facilitating small group activities
- Concluding the lesson and dismissing students
- Clean up the environment
SCHEDULE
The Saturday Night Ministry Leader serves on Saturdays from 5:30 - 7:15 p.m.
Curriculum is provided. Saturday Night Ministry Leader is simply presenting the prepared lesson weekly. Arrangements can be made if Ministry Leader needs to miss an occasional Saturday night. The position is based on a weekly stipend and assumes a minimum of 46 Saturdays per year; no health benefits are provided. Occasional opportunities to gain an additional stipend by substitute for Sunday morning programming are possible, as well.
The ideal candidate is high energy, loves kids, enjoys being on a stage on a mic, and is gifted in teaching about the Lord. Candidates will work directly with the Early Childhood Team (ages 3 years-Kindergarten). Candidates will be asked to participate in a Saturday night experience as part of the interview process.

The Elementary Saturday Night Ministry Lead role has been designed to give children a consistent adult staff presence in the Loft Children’s Ministry on Saturday nights, while providing the right tone and environment for learning. The Saturday Night Ministry Lead is responsible for having a dedicated weekly focus on sharing biblical truths about Jesus Christ in a fun and exciting way. This position works with ages 1st grade through 4th grade.
The Saturday Night Ministry Lead serves the Saturday night Loft serve from 6:00 - 7:00. Arrival time is 5:30 and normally departing by 7:15.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY: INTERMEDIATE MINISTRY LEADER
Intermediate Ministry at TWMC focuses on the spiritual growth and development of our 5th and 6th grade students. From weekly Sunday school, mid-week Bible study, mission projects and camps (just to name a few) we have year around activities that combine biblical learning and fellowship. While in our ministry, we want students to: (1) continue learning and building a solid biblical foundation and (2) learn how to apply that knowledge in their everyday life. We are looking for an enthusiastic Christian to join our team as we minister to children.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Strong, growing Christian with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and able to share Christ’s love with others
- Experience working with children in a church environment
- Lead and teach biblically based lessons in large group and small group settings
- Communicate and work with church staff, volunteers and parents
- Primary focus on 5th & 6th grade Intermediate Ministry but able to assist and lead across all age groups as needed
- Assist with planning and implementing Children’s Ministry Key Programs and Events
- Other duties as required by department programming
JOB DUTIES
Sunday Preparation
- Create Sunday morning lesson plans using the current curriculum and work as part of the 56 Ministry team to implement Sunday morning plans
Weekday Responsibilities
- Work as part of the 56 Ministry team to plan and conduct Wednesday evening Bible study
- Prepare PowerPoint/ProPresenter presentations for programs
- Assist with The Woodlands Methodist School chapel
- Manage 56 Facebook and Instagram pages
Summer programs
- Assist Associate Director in the planning and implementation of 56 summer activities: Day Camp, Hang Out Days, Camp 247, Mission Mondays
Missions
- Plan and organize Mission Monday service projects/activities during the summer
Seasonal / Special Events
- Work as part of the Children’s Ministry team during general events: Children’s Christmas Eve Service, Children’s Easter Eve Service, Fall Family Event, Mother/Son Event, Father/Daughter Dance

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY: INTERN
This is a part-time position with no benefits created for high school students age 16 or older.
Shift schedules include Sundays and/or Saturday nights and Children’s Ministry-sponsored events serving children ages 3-12 years of age.
JOB DUTIES
- Greet families and students as they arrive on Sundays and events.
- As an intern your primary focus is to help ensure that every child is greeted, encouraged, interacted with and engaged in program activity.
- Help set up and lead Sunday School, events, crafts, activities and clean up.
- Support Ministry Directors and Ministry Leaders.
- Arrive and Sign in on time for scheduled shifts.
- Behavior in the community and your online presence must be compatible with values and beliefs of our church. Your online social networks should be accessible to CM Staff.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Strong interpersonal skills, enjoy children, role model for young children and a growing Christian that feels comfortable sharing their faith with others. Creative artistic talents in music, drama and art a plus.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY: PROGRAMS AND PROMOTIONS COORDINATOR
Are you a highly energetic, organizer that works well with people and has experience leading church productions or plays? Can you work independently and strategically?
This position is responsible for coordinating all promotions and event logistics for the Children’s Ministry, communications for Children’s and Special Needs Ministries, and oversight of the Sunday morning worship experiences in Children’s Ministries. The Programs and Promotions Coordinator works to ensure that all areas of the ministry are of the highest quality possible and consistent with the mission and vision of The Woodlands United Methodist Church.

PROMOTIONS / MEDIA LIAISON
- Campaigns – Submit requests for Sunday School and special event promotions including artwork design, posters, banners, web banners, bulletin ads and any other venue for promotion.
- Website - Monitor and submit updates to ensure all information is current and correct including all information pages and registrations links.
- Special Events – Serve as liaison to Media team to plan and coordinate all media needs. Ensure media, nursery and food service requests are timely and accurately entered into Event Pro

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY: 56 INTERN
JOB DUTIES
- As a 56 Intern, a key part of the job is building a rapport with the students. On a typical Sunday our interns will: shoot baskets, play gaga ball, chat with the shy student standing alone, color pictures, play corn hole, volunteer for a silly game, help with check in, praise and worship alongside our students, and lead a discussion group relating to the weekly Bible teaching.
- Greet families and students as they arrive and dismiss on Sundays and Wednesdays.
- Help set up and clean up at 56 events.
- Support the 56 team on Wednesdays and Sundays.

CHILDREN’S MINISTRY: VOLUNTEER ADMINISTRATOR
This support position works in conjunction with all areas of Children’s Ministry and is responsible for onboarding and supporting the Children’s Ministry (ages three – sixth grade) of TWMC. The Volunteer’s Administrator works collaboratively with the Children’s ministry staff to cultivate an environment where people are inspired to serve in ways that match their spiritual gifts and passions. The Volunteer’s Assistant will partner with Directors and Associate Directors to assure that potential volunteers are aware of policies relating to their station, have a current background check, and initial safety training. This will support our goal that all programs are of the highest quality possible and consistent with the mission and vision of The Woodlands Methodist Church and that volunteers, families and children are served with respect and dignity.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Spiritual maturity, creativity, high energy and a strong passion to lead children and families to a deeper understanding of the Gospel message of Christ’s love!
- Proven “front of house” experience as first line in Children’s Ministry reception area
- Proven excellence in verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to circle back around on tasks without prompting is a must.
- The Ability to learn large, scheduling, software.
Onboarding Volunteers:
