Brent Parker is the lead — and founding — pastor of The Church at Woodforest, a campus of The Woodlands Methodist Church.
Brent joined the staff at TWMC in the summer of 2015, and The Church at Woodforest launched the second Sunday of January 2016. In the time since, its growth has far exceeded expectations.
“God set this in motion, and I was the person to be a part of seeing this happen,” Brent said. “Something about me and my unique gift set — whatever that is — was necessary, and God needed that and needed me for this Woodforest community to grow and become what He intended it to be. I’m excited to be a part of this team.”
Before taking on his role at Woodforest, Brent served as a local youth minister, a camp and conference director, and a featured speaker and retreat leader for Disciples of Christ, United Methodist, Episcopal and Presbyterian churches. He is a graduate of Brite Divinity School with a Master of Divinity. He also holds a Certificate in Youth and Theology and has almost completed a Certificate Program in Spiritual Direction through Princeton Theological Seminary.
Brent and his wife, Kori, and their three sons — Caedmon, Kai and Kingston — call Montgomery, Texas, home.
