A Pathway to a Deeper Faith

Jesus' call to "follow me" is an invitation to begin a lifelong journey to explore and apply God's Word, grow in maturity, love our neighbors, share our faith and, ultimately, become more like Him. G.R.O.W. Points is a pathway to intentionally connect and live out your faith at The Woodlands Methodist Church. No matter where you are in your faith, we are excited to journey with you.

Children with Special Needs

We have Sunday School classes for children with special needs in preschool through 6th grade on the Main Campus and in the Loft.

Children are precious to us at The Woodlands Methodist Church. We strive to make our Noah’s Nook Nursery fun and stimulating for even the youngest child coming through our door. While we realize it can be difficult to leave your child in the care of others, we want to assure you that our staff has a genuine love for the work they do.

Our Nursery is staffed by paid, experienced workers who are trained in the areas of child care, child development, safety and sanitation and certified by the American Heart Association in CPR and First Aid.

We offer a loving, Christian atmosphere. All of our rooms are safe, fun and filled with age-appropriate toys, games and books.

Worship Services

Please refer to Re-Opening information for the most current details on Children's programming and child care options.

Reservations are not necessary for worship services. During worship services, all are welcome to bring children to the Nursery, infants through two years old (as of September 1).

Bible Studies, Programs and Events

Reservations are needed for Nursery care during all programs, except worship services. The Ministry leader sponsoring your Bible Study, program or event is responsible for requesting Nursery care and taking reservations. Reservations may be made online or through a ministry contact person. The Nursery cares for children, infants through age 12.

Nursery Cost

Nursery care is provided at no cost for worship services and many church-related programs and events. However, Nursery care for some events may require a fee. For more information on nursery reservations please call 281.297.5949

Our main program includes dozens of weekly volunteers to help support a small group of children. A core Early Childhood staff and interns help to organize, prepare and set up lessons and activities each week. Our young children participate in large group praise and worship where they sing songs and hear about Jesus. Volunteers oversee small groups in age specific classrooms in order to focus on the biblical truths that our children are learning. Children in our Sunday school program must be 3 years old by September 1 of the current school year.

If you have any questions, please contact NextGen Kids Ministry.

Our 1st – 4th grade Sunday School program is designed to encourage and nurture the spiritual understanding and growth of our elementary-aged children. Children are welcomed by the friendly faces of staff ministry leaders, adult volunteers and teenage interns to join us in building friendships, enjoying fellowship, singing praise and discovering biblical truths. Each year, our 3rd graders participate in Bible Sunday where they receive their own Bible during the Traditional worship service.
